"Our small efforts at kindness can change people's lives more than we will ever know. Since it takes so little time and energy to change the world for the better, why not make an effort to do it every day?"

day 9: something you were proud of from the past few days

Something I'm proud of... You know brains, senses, nerves, etc? Yeah, I can look at a brain, name, point all of them out, and tell you what they do. Your eye? Yeah, I know the name of practically every part. Including the accessory parts! Like the lacrimal gland, caruncle, lacrimal punctum, nasolacrimal duct, etc. Did you know your lingual frenulum is the name of that thing under your tongue that secures your tongue so you don't swallow/choke on it? Annnd there are three sizes of papillae on your tongue, and each have a different name. Circumvallate, fungiform, and filiform. I could go on and on. Our bodies are so COOL!

I'm glad that I learned a few pages of anatomical terms in one week. And I'm learning more this week--arteries & the heart--you'd be surprised at how much there is to know about those. So amazing! :D

Awesome quote:

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
-Matthew 5:14-16

*Hannah brought to my attention the fact that the picture was copyrighted. There aren't any good pictures of a heart diagram that aren't copyrighted though :(
