"Our small efforts at kindness can change people's lives more than we will ever know. Since it takes so little time and energy to change the world for the better, why not make an effort to do it every day?"

North Carolina is Amazing

North Carolina is beautiful. The trees, the starry nights, the mountains, the rain, the cloudy sky... okay, so it's basically like home except it has mountains. It's funny how traveling this summer with so many changes in scenery make me stop in awe of how gorgeous this world really is. It's pretty awe-inspiring. Is that even a word?

I googled the mountains, and this is what I got... It reminds me more of the view from VA, across the valley and all.

See how amazing this world is? The mountains are simply majestic.

I wish I had taken pictures of downtown Asheville. There were FAKE statues! (people dressed up to look like statues) amazing street musicians, cool little stores... the atmosphere was indescribable.
There was a book signing in the Malaprops bookstore (the reason we stopped in Asheville on the way back from TN). There were 4 authors just talking about the amazingness of writing. It was pretty awesome.

Not only is North Carolina Culturally amazing, but the people here are SO amazing. I wish I could steal some of the pictures I took with Megan Sebright to illustrate the pure awesomeness of the people from here.

I have taken time to think about life in this past week. It was enriching to take a break & ponder. Maybe I'll share some of my musings later... (famous last words of a procrastinator).

Peace Love & Happiness,
Rachel
